Bible Study Part 4-Relationship with God

Well this is what I have been "thinking and chewing" on from this part of the Study.

"Read Psalm 37, the entire chapter. Before reading ask God to give you revelation of the scriptures and be sure to highlight any that stand out to you and be sure to take notes. Go ahead and read it and then come back."

Psalms 37: 4 "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart."
So let's look at this:

de·light
–noun
1. a high degree of pleasure or enjoyment; joy; rapture: She takes great delight in her job.
2. something that gives great pleasure: The dance was a delight to see.
–verb (used with object)
3. to give great pleasure, satisfaction, or enjoyment to; please highly: The show delighted everyone.
–verb (used without object)
4. to have great pleasure; take pleasure (fol. by in or an infinitive): She delights in going for long walks in the country.

de·sire
–verb (used with object)
1. to wish or long for; crave; want.
2. to express a wish to obtain; ask for; request: The mayor desires your presence at the next meeting.
–noun
3. a longing or craving, as for something that brings satisfaction or enjoyment: a desire for fame.
4. an expressed wish; request.
5. something desired.

So my thoughts are...Do we "know" God well enough to "Delight" in Him? And My desires....Do they agree with what God "desires" for me? Something Amy said on her blog is when she met her spouse she took great interest in getting to know him. She asked questions, and put the answers in to memory. This is how we should get to "know"God as well, put His scriptures to memory, and Take note of the things He shows us and tells us.
